Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Nightroom uses, why we use them, and how you can control them.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They allow the site to remember information about your visit, making the experience more efficient and personalised.
2. Cookies We Use
nr.at (Access Token) — httpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Strict. Stores your session access token. Expires after 15 minutes. Strictly necessary for authentication.
nr.rt (Refresh Token) — httpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Strict. Stores a long-lived refresh token used to silently renew your session. Expires after 7 days. Strictly necessary for authentication.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.
3. Strictly Necessary Cookies
The cookies listed above are strictly necessary for the platform to function. Without them you cannot log in or maintain a session. Because they are essential, they do not require your prior consent under most data protection frameworks, but we disclose them here for full transparency.
4. Third-Party Cookies
Nightroom does not embed third-party advertising or social media widgets that set their own cookies. Voice chat functionality is powered by LiveKit; a secure WebSocket connection is established but no persistent cookies are set by LiveKit on your device.
5. How to Control Cookies
You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies at any time. Note that blocking the session cookies (nr.at, nr.rt) will prevent you from logging in.
Instructions for managing cookies in common browsers: Chrome — Settings › Privacy and security › Cookies. Firefox — Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies. Safari — Preferences › Privacy › Manage Website Data.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices change. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
