1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They allow the site to remember information about your visit, making the experience more efficient and personalised.

2. Cookies We Use

nr.at (Access Token) — httpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Strict. Stores your session access token. Expires after 15 minutes. Strictly necessary for authentication.

nr.rt (Refresh Token) — httpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Strict. Stores a long-lived refresh token used to silently renew your session. Expires after 7 days. Strictly necessary for authentication.

NEXT_LOCALE (Language) — Secure, SameSite=Lax. Remembers the interface language you last used so you are not sent to the wrong one on your next visit. Expires after 1 year. A functional cookie: it stores a preference, not an identifier, and is not used to track you.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.

3. Strictly Necessary Cookies

The session cookies (nr.at, nr.rt) are strictly necessary for the platform to function. Without them you cannot log in or maintain a session. NEXT_LOCALE is a functional cookie: the site works without it, you would simply have to choose your language again on each visit. Because the session cookies are essential and NEXT_LOCALE stores only a display preference, none of them require your prior consent under most data protection frameworks, but we disclose them all here for full transparency.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Nightroom does not embed third-party advertising or social media widgets that set their own cookies. Voice chat functionality is powered by LiveKit; a secure WebSocket connection is established but no persistent cookies are set by LiveKit on your device.

5. How to Control Cookies

You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies at any time. Note that blocking the session cookies (nr.at, nr.rt) will prevent you from logging in.
